Trick Trainer Stockwhip, Trick Trainer and Mini Stockwhip, Set of 4 DVD’s
The Trick Trainer Stockwhip
This is a 4 plait cow hide stockwhip. The thong is 4 foot long (i.e. length of the plaited section).
It has a plain cane handle with a kangaroo hide turks head (knob) at the base. It is an ideal
beginner’s whip for all ages. A smaller version – 3.5 foot long, is also available and suitable for
young children up to around 7 years old.
Angie Mooney started manufacturing these whips having identified a need for an affordable whip that was of suitable quality, length and weight to learn whipcracking tricks. The essential ingredient in these whips is the belly construction ie. layers underneath the outside plaiting. The belly of the Trick Trainer Stockwhip comprises of 3 layers of leather. It runs throughout the entire whip and progressively gets thinner as the whip gets thinner. Many commercially available whips lack a good belly and after some use the whip becomes floppy and requires more effort to make it crack.
For the cost of only $60 each it is still affordable enough to buy your first pair of whips
($120). Enabling you to learn 2 hand whipcracking tricks right from the start!
Angie classifies the Trick Trainer as your beginner whip. It is great for those who are new to the
world of whips and want to have a crack at it without spending a fortune.
After you have mastered the basics and wish to continue, Angie recommends you to step up to
redhide, white hide or kangaroo hide stockwhips made by other specialist whipmakers that she is
happy to recommend to you. Feel free to contact Angie and discuss your needs and requirements.
Without the appropriate whip, learning tricks other than the basics can become difficult.
Mini stockwhip
This whip is a great souvenir of Australia! While it can make a little cracking sound it isn’t designed for continuous use. It’s great for a baby’s first whip, or for tourists to Australia.
Its total length including the handle is approximately 120cm long.

Instructional DVD’s
Step by step lessons from Angie Mooney – 4 times Australian Ladies Whipcracking Champion. Learn the fundamental whip cracking tricks demonstrated in detail on each DVD. This is a series
of 4 DVD’s starting at Level 1 for beginners and progressing to Level 4 for more advanced
cracking skills. Each Level builds on from the previous DVD. Cost: $25 each or $85 (AUD) for
the set of 4.
